Authenticity. Provenance. Textile Integrity

Our Philosophy
At Novum ex Vetere a small business from Germany, we believe that true craftsmanship outlives fleeting trends. We specialize in sourcing, restoring, and curating vintage and archival fashion, celebrating unique designs that span from the eclectic 1970s right up to the iconic Y2K era. Our mission is to prioritize exceptional quality, diversity, and rarity over the relentless pace of fast fashion.

The Curation & Craft
We carefully curate a highly diverse selection of brands from around the world. Whether it's a rare designer garment or a masterfully crafted vintage leather handbag with a beautiful, natural patina, our focus is always on the piece's intrinsic quality and history. For us, the beauty lies in the details: the weight of exceptional fabrics and the precision of a cut. We don't just sell clothes; through meticulous fabric care and restoration, we bring wearable history back to its original glory.

Investment & Authenticity
We view high-quality fashion as a lasting investment. We offer our clients a selection of timeless and highly sought-after pieces designed to be treasured for years to come. We are confident that premium vintage fashion not only retains its value but often appreciates, provided it is well cared for. Because authenticity is the absolute foundation of our archive, every single label, stitch, and fabric is rigorously verified. We protect our collectors by guaranteeing that every piece in our boutique is 100% authentic.

A Conscious Legacy
Novum ex Vetere – meaning "the new from the old" – is deeply committed to conscious consumerism. By extending the life cycle of these extraordinary garments and breathing new life into vintage treasures, we promote a more ethical, sustainable approach to style. We invite you to reduce waste by investing in history, unparalleled quality, and the true art of fashion.

A Note from the Curator

For over 15 years, vintage fashion has been far more than just a passion for me – it is a deep-rooted dedication. I approach every single garment with a profound reverence for the fabric, the original craftsmanship, and the unique history woven into its seams.

To me, sourcing is an art form. Many of the treasures you will find in this archive are personal discoveries, carefully handpicked and brought back from my travels across Europe. There is a very special magic in hunting down these forgotten pieces in hidden corners, restoring them with the utmost care, and ultimately passing their legacy on to you.
