THE ARTIFACT
A striking piece of late 90s / early Y2K fashion history. This piece beautifully channels Kenzo Takada’s iconic design DNA, seamlessly blending traditional Japanese kimono-inspired florals with bold, graphic Kanji typography and Y2K clubwear aesthetics. The design features a brilliant asymmetrical front panel that juxtaposes a stark, graphic black-and-white striped motif with a vibrant, traditional Japanese floral pattern. Bold red Kanji lettering on the upper chest completes this highly sought-after archival aesthetic.

MATERIAL & FEEL
Crafted in Italy from a premium blend of 92% Viscose Rayon and 8% Elastane, the main body of the shirt is incredibly slinky, stretchy, and designed to hug the body perfectly. The front patterned panel features a polyamide layer, adding structure and textural contrast to the fluid viscose.

CONDITION REPORT
Status: Very Good Vintage Condition.
This piece has been carefully preserved but shows minimal signs of its vintage nature:
• Print: The graphic print shows a beautiful, age-appropriate craquelure on the red kanji lettering, which underscores the authentic vintage DNA of this 25-year-old archival piece.
• Fabric: The back of the shirt has two microscopic, pinhole-sized areas of surface wear. Please note: these are not full holes, just very slight surface thinning.
Otherwise, the garment is in excellent shape with vibrant colors, tight seams, and no stains or odors.
